Highlighting a spiral staircase in these pictures, especially the final bullet point. Spiral staircases may look pretty but, according to Feng Shui they are dangerous and threatening. Here is why:
- You can’t see all the way to the bottom (or top) of the stairs so you don’t know what awaits you there.
- If the stairs lack vertical risers, you, your children or your pets may well slip between the stairs and get hurt.
- Spiral staircases symbolize a huge screw, boring down into your home and creating a hole in your life. Do you see the pictures of this outdoor deck and how the sea wall and some of their deck has collapsed? It is because over time the screw (staircase) weakened the deck / seawall structure. I would never recommend a spiral staircase. There are ways to remedy spiral staircases but, if you can avoid having one, please do.
